Friday 14 October 2011Succesfull sale Jan Aarden Pigeonsclub in Manchester U.K. The by Toppigeons in cooperation with NP-Auctions organised sale for Jan Aarden Pigeonsclub has been a fantastic succes. The totall proceeds for 56 young birds of the auction is almost euro 18.000,--, which means an average of over euro 320,-- each. Most expensive pigeons were: a youngster of Black Magic Woman from Jan Polder scored euro 2300,--, a youngster of Rainbow Warrior, also from Jan Polder, scored euro 1230,-- and an inbreeded youngster to Gerard van Tuyl his int. Barcelona winner Rodico scored euro 1175,-- The following lotnrs. are solld to the internetbidders and these pigeons can be picked up or send after when they are returned in Holland after 24th. october. Lot nr..: 5, 6, 9, 10, 13, 20, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32, 34, 40, 43, 44, 47 en 48. Lot nr. 41 and 45 are sold on a salesorder, received by Toppigeons and these pigeons can also be picked up or send after 24th. october. The Jan Aarden pigeon is the best pigeon in the world for the long distance races. Never you'll find better pigeons. Year after year these pigeons prove this on the races. For example, on the international Barcelona race 2011, the first 15 prizes of the international race have been won by the Dutch, despite of their more distance of 100 till 300 kilometers with regard to the fanciers in Belgium, Germany and France. Most of these 15 winners are based on the Jan Aarden strain. Oké, you can say the Barcelona race in 2011 was with the wind from behind and this is advantage for the fanciers with more distance. Lets take a look at the Barcelona race from 2010 than. Very, very tough race. In Belgium they speak of a disaster. Many pigeons did not even return. But not in Holland. One day after releasing the race was closed and the prizes were won. In Belgium this was after one day more, despite of the shorter distance. Once again the evidence that the dutch marathon pigeon, based on the Jan Aarden strain is the ruler of the sky on the marathon races.
